Description
A handsome native bellflower with stems growing up to 4ft tall. The lilac to pale blue bell-shaped flowers open from the base of the stem up.. Bell-shaped in profile, it is star shaped from the front. A characteristic of bellflowers is that the stigma splits into three near the top. Grows in shady locations. Its a larval food plant of the small white butterfly.
